Our Archive Portal provides long-term access to historical imaging data from decommissioned PACS and RIS systems, ensuring regulatory compliance and clinical continuity.

Every hospital accumulates years — often decades — of imaging data in their PACS. When it's time to upgrade or replace that system, the question becomes: what happens to the historical data? Leaving it inaccessible isn't an option; regulations require long-term retention, and clinicians need access to prior studies.

eMed's Archive Portal solves this by extracting data from legacy systems and preserving it in a vendor-neutral, standards-based archive. Historical studies remain accessible through a web-based viewer or integrated directly into the new PACS — so clinicians never know the data came from a decommissioned system.
